Trás-os-Montes
From the hillsides sculpted by the human to the hidden villages of Montesinho, Trás-os-Montes is an extraordinary region, full of wonders, still to be explored. After taking a boat ride through Douro River and enjoying the beauty of the wine region, explore the cliffs of Douro Internacional with breathtaking landscapes by car. Then visit Miranda do Douro and listen to “mirandês”, an almost extinct dialect, spoken only by some of the region inhabitants. In Bragança, Vila Real, and in the village of Montalegre, enjoy the cultural and gastronomic heritage and, to the west of Montalegre, visit Pitões das Júnias, located in Peneda-Gerês.
