Arouca
Near to Aveiro, Arouca is a small town in the middle of a fascinating mountain range: Serra da Freita. With waterfalls, meadows, valleys, uplands and peaks, this small mountain range is very beautiful and it has a unique rurality, where we can see “arouquesas” cows everywhere. In the town, there is a 10th century monastery, with alterations in the 18th century, which is a jewel for lovers of history and culture.
